I subscribe to the Motor Trend channel on YouTube and every year they have the Diesel Power Challenge.
I don't know why I watch the videos. I guess it's like a car crash or a train wreck; you just can't look away.
Anyway, check it out if you want to see a bunch of bros abusing and mutilating their trucks to the tune of thousands of dollars in an effort to win a competition most people are completely unaware of.

Such negativity about it. Just another scene. Granted these guys have the propensity to drive like dicks, but there are a lot of normal people with modded diesels too.

I think its fun watching these guys abuse the hell out of their trucks and use them for actual truck things.

Even though most of these trucks look very "BRO'D" up, the owners seem like your casual guys. I might not like bro trucks, but it's nice to know that there's a solid community of Coal rolling freaks who love their rigs this much. faith in truck kind partially restored haha!
also, JESUS CHRIST THOSE TORQUE NUMBERS

the guys that actually mod and compete I'm cool with and that's respectable, as is any competition out there. The guys that piss me off are the ones that try to take up as many parking spaces as possible or get off on blurting out massive black clouds of smoke specifically when driving by people walking or in convertibles.

Yeah. I had a "friend" (friend is in quotes because the kid is generally likable, but is a complete dumbass and is pretty annoying) roll by me with his diesel one night. Disclaimer: If I had the budget for a second not cheap vehicle, I'd have a Duramax parked next to the Vette most likely. My window was down, and roughly at the same height as his exhaust pipe. He's lucky I'm not violent, because I probably would've beat the shit out of him if I was. Not cool.
I love what they can do power wise though. It's impressive seeing something that big drive to a drag strip pulling 25mpg on the high way, run an 11 second quarter, then go tow a house.
